Ukraine’s Defense Ministry announced May 7 that the country’s military deployed a Bayraktar TB2 unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) to attack the Serna-class DropShip.
“The traditional parade of the Russian Black Sea Fleet on May 9 this year will be held near Snake Island – under the sea,” Ukraine’s Defense Ministry wrote on Twitter, accompanied by a two-minute video. The video appears to capture the moment a ship is hit by an airstrike.

Snake Island is a landmark that emerged in the early days of the war when Ukrainian border guards confronted the Russian Navy on the island.
Russia did not immediately comment on the latest information from Ukraine. May 9 is Victory Day in Russia, associated with commemorating the Soviet Union’s victory over Nazi Germany in World War II.
Russia and Ukraine had previously commented on the sinking of the missile cruiser Moskva in the Black Sea. While Ukraine claimed the ship was hit by its missile, Russia said the ship was on fire.

Transnistria says it was attacked by a drone
The interior service of Transnistria, a breakaway region of Moldova bordering Ukraine’s western border, said four suspected drone targets landed in the area overnight. They released images showing craters said to have formed after the attack.
The incident came almost two weeks after similar incidents were reported in Transnistria, prompting warnings that hostilities could spread in Ukraine.

Ukraine says Odessa was hit by a rocket
The port city in southern Ukraine was hit by several rockets on May 7, according to government spokesman Serhiy Bratchuk. He said the attacks came after several other targets in the Odessa region were hit by four rockets earlier in the day.
Mr Bratchuk gave no further details on the latest attacks and said they were still investigating.
On the same day, Kharkiv Governor Oleh Sinegubov said that Russia shelled a museum dedicated to the philosopher and poet Hryhoriy Skovoroda in the village of Skovorodynivka, causing a fire that destroyed the building.
Russia did not immediately comment on the claims.
