Developer plans care home at former quarry site

A developer is seeking planning advice on the construction of a new care home at a former quarry site in Plymouth.

LNT Care Developments sought pre-application advice from Plymouth City Council before submitting a formal planning proposal for the construction of the facility at the former Plymstock Quarry.

If approved, the home would provide general residential care and specialist residential dementia care, with capacity for 66 residents, planning documents state.

Between 50 and 60 new jobs would also be offered with "above average" wages for care workers, planning documents claim.
